A unique feature of Sonoma Elementary is its House System, introduced in February 2020. Inspired by the concept popularized in the Harry Potter series, the system divides students into six color-coded houses.

Each student is randomly assigned to a house, creating smaller communities within the larger school environment and fostering a strong sense of belonging. The House System encourages collaboration across grade levels and supports both the social and academic development of students and staff.
